Yikun Discs is a Chinese disc golf manufacturer that has quietly become one of the more interesting names in the sport, producing distinctive moulds at prices that undercut the established brands without cutting the specification.
Who Yikun Discs are and why players buy them
Yikun make their own moulds rather than copying, and they print full flight numbers on every disc. The range covers the complete bag — putters, midranges, fairway drivers and distance drivers — which means you can build a matched set from one manufacturer and get consistent feel across the categories.

The Yikun plastic lines explained
Each line is a different plastic with a different purpose, and the same mould flies differently depending on which one you buy.
Phoenix and Phoenix Air
Phoenix Air runs lighter than standard premium plastic, typically 155 g to 165 g, with a transparent body and vivid colour. The lighter weight is deliberate: a lighter disc accelerates more easily and holds its glide longer, which puts real distance within reach of players who have not built professional arm speed.
Tiger and Crystal lines
Tiger Line is the all-weather grip plastic, priced for players still working out how serious they are about the sport, and durable enough to survive the trees. Crystal Line is translucent and hard-wearing, holding its original flight far longer than baseline material — worth having in a disc you are still learning to read.
Reading Yikun mould names
Yikun names its moulds after Chinese characters and mythology rather than marketing terms — ZIYA, QI, NEZHA, HAMMER, GUI, KUI, HU. It makes the range harder to read at first and more memorable once you know it. The printed flight numbers on the rim tell you everything the name does not.
